Ranks
Ranks are permanent milestones that make every future level-up worth more and raise all your mastery caps. You ascend at a Rank Hall POI — found in every major zone (the Hall of the Verge, Hall of Crossings, Hall of Ascension, etc.) — once you meet the level requirement.
The rank ladder
| # | Rank | Level req | Stat bonus (per single-stat level-up) | Mastery-cap bonus |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Commoner | 1 | +0 | +0 |
| 2 | Recruit | 150 | +1 | +10 |
| 3 | Captain | 300 | +2 | +25 |
| 4 | General | 600 | +3 | +50 |
| 5 | Champion | 1000 | +5 | +90 |
| 6 | Warlord | 1500 | +8 | +125 |
| 7 | Hero | 2500 | +13 | +150 |
| 8 | Legend | 5000 | +21 | +170 |
What a rank gives you
- A bigger stat bonus on single-stat level-ups. A Legend adds +21 to every single-stat level choice on top of the flat +50 and race growth — that compounds across thousands of future levels.
- Higher mastery caps across the board. The cap bonus is added to every category, so a Hero (+150) can push masteries far past where their race alone allowed. Note: this does not lift Doublehit's hard cap of 100.
Why you should rank up promptly
The stat bonus is not retroactive — it only applies to level-ups you take after ranking. So every level you gain while eligible-but-unranked is leaving stat points on the table. The moment you hit a level requirement, head to a Rank Hall and ascend.
The mastery-cap bonus, by contrast, applies immediately and lets you resume training toward the new, higher ceilings.
Practical milestones
- Level 150 → Recruit: your first rank; small but free power.
- Level 300 → Captain: also the level you can found a clan (Clans & Kingdoms) and the gate for the endgame PK zone, The Hollow Court.
- Level 1000 → Champion: the stat bonus (+5) and cap bonus (+90) start to feel significant; this is "true endgame" footing.
- Level 5000 → Legend: the top of the launch ladder — +21 stat per level and +170 to every mastery cap.
Ranks vs. reincarnation
Ranks belong to your current life. Advanced races gained through Reincarnation have no ranks — they trade the rank ladder for a different power model. Plan your rank progress around whether you intend to reincarnate.
